Even though the air is filled with snow, ice and is only 10 degrees, love is still blooming.
If you are planning a 2012 Spring, Summer or Fall wedding, get BUSY!
Those of you that are still hammering out the details for a Spring 2012 Wedding must be either really laid back or going completely nuts right now. Remember, it is not too late should be your mantra. While you may have to change some of your must haves to maybe's, you still have enough time to make your wedding day one to remember. Live music is not a must when you are down to the wire. Most reception locations have an extensive list of trusted DJ's, Photographers, Florists, Cake Makers, Caterers and the like. It is always good to do some price comparison on your own as well. Many service providers have access to other service providers. Don't hesitate to ask each provider if they have a recommendation to a non-competitive wedding service provider. Breathe deep and relax, you will get it all done.
For those brides that are still planning their 2012 Summer Wedding, stop planning and start doing. You will spend far less time, energy and money by being pro-active in your wedding decisions instead of being re-active to what you now have to do. Get your catere, florist, band or dj and photographer locked in as early as possible. Most vendors offer discounts or bonuses for booking them early. This gives you more time and money to put towards everything else that you have not decided on yet. Summer will be here much sooner than you could ever expect, stop waiting and start doing.
For those sensible and meticulous brides that are preparing for their wedding at least 9 months or more away, I commend you. You will be able to save a lot of time, money and stress by being an active planner. Make sure your plan has precise dates embedded in it for when you need to book professionals and secure venues. Take advantage of those vendor specials for "booking early" and being prepared. Don't forget about some of the often overlooked details of the early events before the wedding. Schedule your engagement photography session early enough to include pictures at your showers and parties. Also, you want a great picture to submit to the paper. Schedule your test hair and make-up day to coincide with your bridal picture session. You can then use those pictures at the reception and with your thank you cards as well. Many brides also desire to have a professional photographer capture the memories of their showers and parties, this usually is not possible if you wait to the last minute to schedule and book these events with your photography vendor.
We are offering an "EARLY BIRD" special that may save many of you money that you desperately need to go to something else. Please just click on the "EARLY BIRD" to see what we may be able to do for your wedding this 2012 Spring, Summer or Fall.

Tools & Tips
Summer is here!
That means lots and lots of outside pictures.
Q: What should you do to get the best pictures in full sunlight?
A: Use a hood, UV filter and an umbrella to shade your lens.
Many people will try to have their subjects either stand facing the sun (putting you in an ideal position) or stand with the sun off to one side. Both of these have their downfalls, having the subject face the sun will cause squinting and poor expression and having the subject stand with the sun to one side eliminates the squinting and your need for shading the lens but, it will yield harsh shadows and highlights that are VERY difficult to mediate. If you have a good flash, then use the flash to reduce the shadows when shooting close enough for your flash. Get in the practice of carrying a large umbrella in your vehicle, and you will be ready to get some great full sun shots this Summer. Please do not hesitate to email us with any questions or situations you encounter. We are not the know-all of photography; however, we have learned a great deal through the years.
